FEUDAL CASTLE RUINS
Ruins of the feudal castle overlooking the town of Château-Renard, a site registered as a historical monument, to be discovered.
These gigantic ruins of the feudal castle, built in the 13th century, offer a breathtaking view of the town. A magnificent tower, with archways still visible, remains, as does a length of high fortified wall. Nature has reclaimed its rights since Louis XIII ordered its dismantling in 1623. Now, as a green space surrounded by foliage, we can imagine court life or the visit of François I in 1539. Integrated into the landscape and everyday life, these ruins were listed as a Historic Monument in 1912
