DENAINVILLE GRAIN DRYER
Often wrongly referred to as "mill" when it never had wings, this grain kiln could go unnoticed in the landscape. Yet it is very special and it is the last of its kind in France. A prototype for the conservation of grain, he is therefore the ancestor of grain silos! This invention owes to Henri-Louis Duhamel du Figaro, the great grandson of Claude Duhamel, who built the castle of Denainvilliers in the th century. A museum dedicated to this brilliant th-century agronomist was set up in a wing of the castle, he also gave his name at the Lycée De.
