ABBEY CHURCH SAINT-PIERRE-ET-SAINT-PAUL
This church, founded by Clovis in the century, still preserves Carolingian traces.
Founded by Clovis in the5th century, this abbey church still preserves Carolingian traces. The centuries are represented there, in particular the 13th century thanks to the bell tower and the choir. The superbly worked 15th century stained glass windows in the apse illuminate it. In 1163, Pope Alexander III consecrated it. To the west of this majestic building, the chapel of Notre-Dame de Bethlehem is decorated with an altarpiece dating from 1650, the work of the renowned sculptor Gilles Guérin (1611-1678). A visit is a must!
