BANQUE ALIMENTAIRE DU LOIRET

"Together, let's help mankind eat" is the motto of the food bank. The Banque Alimentaire du Loiret stores tons of food in its warehouses to redistribute them to the most destitute, via charities and social organizations. In this way, it acts as a wholesaler of food aid. The merchandise comes mainly from the European Union, which donates cereal and dairy products through the European Programme for Aid to the Most Deprived (PEAD). The rest of the merchandise comes from donations from producers, the food industry, supermarkets (which then become solidarity companies), the State and the general public (particularly during collections organized by the Food Bank in supermarkets).
