DURALEX INTERNATIONAL
The adventure began in the 1930s. Saint-Gobain acquired a glassworks formerly owned by a vinegar maker and then a perfumer, who produced their bottles there. The company, a pioneer in tempered glass technology, made its first attempts to adapt the process to the manufacture of tableware. In 1945, the Duralex trademark was registered.
A few details: Glasses, coffee cups, mugs, bowls, salad bowls, plates, baking dishes... everything for the kitchen, with the assurance of flawless solidity.
250 jobs are preserved in France. The brand achieves sales of around 31 million euros a year, 80% of which comes from exports. Let's hope it's Duralex!
