The church of Saint-Aubin-et-Saint-Michel in La Ferté-Saint-Aubin has a Romanesque tower from the 11th and 12th centuries.
Two churches in La Ferté, an unusual question... One, Saint-Aubin, with its Romanesque tower dating from the 11th and 12th centuries, overlooks the town and features 3 resonant bells. It was classified as a historic monument in 1943! Unusual: a sarcophagus in the church. The other, Saint-Michel, near the château, is smaller and has its original choir. In 2017, a statue of Our Lady of Fatima from Portugal was installed and the polyphonic organ was renovated. Fertois remain attentive to their tradition.
