ÉCOMUSÉE
Ecomuseum dedicated to old trades, habits and customs, economic and social life in Sologne, with reconstructed workshops of craftsmen.
This eco-museum is dedicated to showcasing traditional trades such as clog-making and cooperage. Original objects, including the broom-making machine, provide an insight into traditional customs! Visitors will be enchanted by the reconstruction of a farmhouse interior, traditional costumes and a rich collection of late 19th-early 20th-century headdresses. Hunting and poaching are also on the agenda, as the Sologne region is known for... In autumn, there's also the nuits du cerf (stag nights), when you can listen to the bellowing of the deer. The museum is ideally located between Orléans and Chambord.
