DEPARTMENTAL RESISTANCE AND DEPORTATION MUSEUM
Museum installed in the old station of Lorris, approaching the history of the Second World War since the treaty of Versailles.
This museum was created on the initiative of resistance fighters and deportees and is housed in the old Lorris train station. It gives an account of the daily life of the inhabitants of the Loiret during the period 1939-1945. Commemorations, ceremonies, conferences, meetings with witnesses constitute the axis of transmission necessary to the young generations in order to know what was the resistance and in particular that of the maquis of Lorris, the most important of the Loiret. A visit rich in meaning contributing to local history.
