LE DÉPÔT DE JADIS

At the Dépôt de Jadis, where we also do restoration work, the objects we come across offer us a piece of the dream. The furniture and the old articles which are there, jumbled up, as if deprived of their soul, await the hunter who will bring them back home. It is not the proximity of the Loing that makes us navigate here but the stylistic variations of each entity. Their age and their history let us hear "the noise of time" as the poet Mandelstam wrote. And one begins to wonder if we will find the rare pearl..
