GIRODET MUSEUM
Museum presenting a beautiful collection of Anne-Louis Girodet, a place of reference for the discovery of the art of the period 1780-1875.
After much turmoil due to the floods of 2016, the Girodet Museum was renovated. Its exhibition space has doubled. In its galleries, one finds the most important collection dedicated to Anne-Louis Girodet-Trioson (1767-1824) but also to Henry de Triqueti (1803-1874). These two natives of the Gâtinais, through their art, honour the city and provide possible educational encounters. Excellent Géricault and Zurbaran as well as graphic arts and Gallic coins do not leave one indifferent. This museum is worth a visit.
