THE QUAIL GAZEBO
A 30 m-high observatory made of natural materials, offering a breathtaking view of the Nibelle department.
The Caillettes observatory dominates the Orléans forest from the top of its 30 metres. Built on a mound, it is one of the highest points in the forest, at 170 metres above sea level. From its platform, you can see Orléans cathedral, even though it is about fifty kilometres away. A breathtaking view of the department. Entirely rebuilt in 2002, this observatory is made of natural materials from the surrounding environment.
