The mission of the Maison des jeunes et de la culture d'Olivet is to encourage "cultural expression and practice for the whole population". It is a very active cultural venue, hosting exhibitions, concerts, video screenings, readings, etc., as well as workshops (plastic arts, cooking, music, dance, theater, musical awakening, yoga), courses (coaching, reading aloud, etc.) and oenology classes. The MJC organizes around ten concerts a year, ranging from chanson and world music to jazz. The concerts take place in a beautiful little vaulted hall.
