VITRAIL & CO / ROMET GALLET
Our eyes find it hard to believe that in the middle of the Rue des Carmes, where on one side the tramway is taking off and on the other slows down its euphoria, there is a space dedicated to stained glass established and represented by Lisa Gallet (in 2018, she won 2nd place in the regional competition for entrepreneurship by women in the category "I am an entrepreneur") and Eddy Romet (trained by Master Louis Gouffault), master glassmakers who "invite you into their Uni-Verre...", as they so aptly put it. These mysterious craftsmen seem to come from another world, for the art of stained glass, which reached its fullness in the Middle Ages, seems to have fallen into disuse nowadays, despite its presence in every town in France and Europe, since every church or cathedral has its share of magnificence of glass and lead assembled. It is true that it is an art that takes time... having so little "trade" nowadays. Nevertheless, our two developers continue to create and assemble depths, modern or not. Moreover, they are in charge of the stained glass windows of the Holy Cross Cathedral. If you have a stained glass window in your attic, abandoned, or if you have an idea for a different kind of modernity in this area, don't hesitate to knock on the Vitrail & Co tile and enter the world of euphoria!
