BAGELSTEIN
David and his team's warm and friendly frenzy forces us to visit Bagelstein so much they intoxicate us, transported by their joy, monopolized and happy that they are to serve and introduce us to these famous breads born in the Jewish community in the 17th century in Central and Eastern Europe. Its name, derived from Yiddish bagel or bagel, refers to a small ring-shaped bread roll, a beautiful ring on the finger to be eaten on the way... The ring with natural sourdough, to be enjoyed plain or with seeds (sesame, poppy....), is served with salad, cream of cheese, cucumber, pickled peppers, onions, for a sandwich that is variously named: Isidore, Henriette, Hypolite, Léontine, Ernestine with carrot, Gab, without forgetting the Gaston of the moment that changes each season and Albertine where you can give free rein to your choice of ingredients, at will but limited to a portion per product! A refreshing homemade lemonade will take you, for the elders, on the boat of nostalgia, while the younger ones will tell them how good it is to enjoy authentic refreshments.
Desserts are not to be outdone. We are confronted with a plethora of varieties and the choice is difficult between these cakes, cookies, donuts, crumbles, clafoutis and other brownies, with their enhanced flavours.
On the decoration side, we focus on the first pages of the magazines framed on the walls: Paris-Match, Libération or Time magazine.... The house even displays its humour on panels: "Don't hesitate to ask if the house gives credit: we have an absolutely delicious way of refusing it". It's up to you.
