LIBRAIRIE LAÏQUE
Founded in 1938 by teachers - who were struggling to find the school books necessary for their respective studies - as a cooperative of the Book, this 400 m2 space now dedicates itself under the Secular Bookshop (since 2001) to more than half of its space to childhood and adolescence in a word: youth! These are beautiful, illustrated books offered and presented, for all tastes and colours. The other half is a stationery, the most provided and the most bustling in Orléans, because there is really all sorts of calligraphy materials for school... A varied selection of general literature representing the latest news is also available. A little away, 400 metres from the train station and near the former prison, the Secular Bookshop deserves a detour for its offerings for school and extracurricular activities, but also for its selection of educational games, off the beaten track.
