CHANTELIVRE
Once upon a time, there was a bookshop called Chante Libre, or rather Chantelivre. If there were a prize for the most beautiful shop windows to be awarded to booksellers in Orléans and the Loiret, Chantelivre would win it hands down. It gives pride of place to children's books, nowadays known as "youth" books. And it has to be said that as you enter this brightly-lit space, with a glimpse of the Joan of Arc statue and the permanently-installed Carrousel, your head and the children's heads spin. Because we're in for some fantastic rays. Also of note: an excellent selection of literature, poetry and essays. A rarity!
