THÉÂTRE GÉRARD PHILIPE
This 542-seat theatre in the heart of the Source district is a privileged venue for Orléans' live shows. Local companies are closely involved in the programming, and shows for young audiences and schoolchildren are featured in the program. The objective of this venue is to make performing arts accessible to the widest possible audience, but also to welcome companies in residence for theatrical, musical, choreographic and cinematographic creations. The Gérard-Philipe Theatre also maintains numerous partnerships, notably with the University, but also with the Conservatory and the Astrolabe, which allow other local cultural actors to use the hall. It is here that one attends the performances of the student troupe, Bath'Art, or the fiery improvisation matches of the Grossomodo association. A place of very diverse expressions, therefore.
