This 508-seat venue in the heart of the La Source district is one of Orléans' leading venues for live entertainment. Local companies are closely involved in the programming, and shows for young audiences and schoolchildren are given pride of place. The aim is to make live performance accessible to as wide an audience as possible, as well as hosting companies in residency for theatrical, musical, choreographic and cinematographic creations. The Théâtre Gérard-Philipe maintains a number of partnerships, notably with the University, the Conservatoire and theAstrolabe, enabling other local cultural players to use the venue.
