DRAC

The missions of the Drac (Direction régionale des affaires culturelles) include implementing the activities of the Ministry of Culture in the regions. It is responsible for coordinating and implementing government policies in the cultural field. Among other things, associations applying for subsidies turn to them. In the Centre region, the Drac boasts an exceptional cultural heritage, notably in terms of its built and historical heritage, but also as the birthplace of such great names in French literature as George Sand and Honoré de Balzac. Given the vastness of the region's territory, there are 6 Drac Centre territorial units.
