CIMADE
La was very active during the Second World War. Its members entered camps in France, camouflaient people, helped cross borders, and constituted civilian states and forged papers. It was the beginning of a great movement that continues to work today. Every year, the Cimade welcomes and accompanies several tens of thousands of migrants and asylum seekers in their hotlines. The Cimade provides advice to foreigners so that they can enforce their rights. Intervening in the administrative detention centres, it is charged by the authorities with a mission to accompany and defend the rights of foreigners forced to leave the territory. One of its tasks is social support on housing, health, transport, and access to learning French through support for vocational integration. In short, their master word is solidarity with those who suffer, regardless of their nationality, religion and political position. A beautiful opening on the Other.
