The city centre of Orléans is open to everyone and on-site consultation is free. If you want to continue reading at home, it's possible for free and since 2016! Subscription is free for all, on request at the reception. This registration also gives you access to district libraries. More than 500 000 books and 8 000 comic books are available as well as 40 000 cds, cds, dvds and cassettes… not forgetting the 1 200 periodicals. Web site consultation is free (limited to one hour), 10 positions reserved by appointment and 1 post is in free access. The hostesses are very welcoming. The youth area offers a great choice of books, music, discs, computer products to the attention of younger people. Temporary exhibitions are organised throughout the year on the ground floor, and workshops and meetings for the smaller, to the youth space!
