CENTRE JEANNE D’ARC

Created in 1974, this documentation and historical research centre presents very important archives. With 34 000 documents in consultation, this is the world's most important centre dedicated to Jeanne d'Arc, this collection is rich in much of the archives of the Jeanne d'Arc Museum that was bombed in 1940. Everything that appears on La Pucelle - texts, newspaper articles - is carefully archived in this place. We learn a lot about Jeanne's history and the traces she has left in literature, in the cinema, or even in trade and advertising (see posters for "non" or lighters!). From the most fantaisiste to the most serious, everything is there. The centre also has an important documentary fund in the th and th centuries.
