COLLEGIATE CHURCH OF SAINT-PIERRE-LE-PUELLIER
Discover the Saint-Pierre-le-Puellier collegiate church, now a venue for contemporary art exhibitions in Orléans.
The Collégiale Saint-Pierre-Le Puillier is part of the oldest church in Orléans, dating back to the 12th century. Following bombardments during 1940-1945, it was desacralized and turned into an exhibition space devoted to contemporary art. The fact remains, however, that "stones speak", and we can't remain indifferent to its architecture and history. The last exhibition, "La mort n'en saura rien", by Jean-Gilles Badaire (1951-2011), was a memorable event.
