CLOISTER GARDEN OF THE MINIMES
A garden that was once a convent, with departmental archives such as peonies, hearts of Mary and rose bushes.
The mendicant order of the Minimes, founded in the 15th century by St. Francis of Paola, built a convent on these premises in the early 17th century. Of this vast religious complex, located between the present streets of Illiers and Minimes, only a part of the church and the cloister remain. Behind the Loiret departmental archives, old plane trees, peonies, hearts of Mary, climbing roses are to be discovered in this garden.
