THE RUE DE BOURGOGNE
The rue de Bourgogne is historically the main east-west axis of the city of Orléans.
The rue de Bourgogne is historically the main east-west axis of the city of Orléans. Since 2006, the entire Bourgogne district, within a perimeter bounded by rue Jeanne d'Arc to the north and quai du Châtelet to the south, has become pedestrianised. Walking in this street is even more pleasant. You have to leave your car outside. In return, one rediscovers the pleasure of walking on the cobblestones of the old town and the old center and drinking a coffee on the terrace without the noise of engines and exhaust pipes.
