MALESHERB CASTLE
This castle located in the middle of a park of 100 ha classified was the property of several great families.
Set in 100 hectares of wooded parkland, Château de Malhesherbes was once the property of several great families: Montagu, de Graville, de Balzac d'Entragues and de Lamoignon. It was the architect Pierre Vigné de Vigny (1690-1772) who created the ultimate version. The courtyard features an imposing 14th-century tithe barn and a chapel housing the tomb of François de Balzac. Both are open to visitors, as is the 18th-century Chateaubriand house. A must-see is the 18th-century pigeon loft, with its 1,862 boulins housing over 8,000 pigeons. Our strolls through the park take us back in time... A real change of scenery!
