Museum that allows you to relive the railway history of the departmental railroads.

This museum brings to life the railway history of the Chemins de fer départementaux. On the program: presentation of old equipment, including twelve classified locomotives, and a journey through the surrounding countryside. With full steam, as in the Belle Époque, you'll travel five kilometers along a section of the old Pithiviers-Toury tramway line which, from 1892 to 1964, linked the sugar mills of these two towns. The authentic steam and diesel locomotives make the journey in 1h15, with a stopover at the Bellébat open-air base.

Alors là on ne peut que mettre la note maximum! Parking alentour, prix supportable et musée attenant à la gare de départ, fort bien mis en valeur avec de nombreuses pièces ouvertes à la visite ( trains anciens, matériel ferroviaire, objets professionnels, c'est très complet (ma dernière visite remonte à 20 années, quels changements, magnifique, instructif et récréatif. La balade en train jusqu'au parc de Bellebat distant de 4 kms sera ravir la plupart d'entre nous, et que dire des petits enfants "aux anges" aussi. Bon moment de passé et bravo à toute l'équipe de bénévoles se mettant en quatre pour ses visiteurs. Endroit à fréquenter et faire connaitre!
