ST. HYGIENE COLLEGE
The collegiate church of Saint-Ythier, formerly the castle's bailey, boasts fine organs and renowned stained-glass windows.
Enlarged and embellished in 1605 by the Duc de Sully, the collegiate church of Saint-Ythier has preserved its fine 18th-century organs and furnishings. In the nave, a coat of arms affixed to a simple tombstone indicates the vault of the Seigneurs de Sully. Two late 15th-century stained-glass windows contribute to the church's renown. The first depicts theTree of Jesse: a schematization of the presumed family tree of Jesus of Nazareth, starting from Jesse, father of King David. The other illustrates the Legend of the Pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela.
