This church built during the 15th and 17th centuries was the parish of the bargemen until the 17th century.
An imposing building constructed during the 15th and 17th centuries, the church of Saint-Germain was the parish church of the bargemen until the 17th century. Overhung by an impressive spire which reaches 38 m, it is the highest in France. The church suffered a lot from the hazards of the Second World War, all cities with a bridge to cross the Loire being systematically targeted. Long disused, it has benefited from extensive restoration work and has become a key part of the cultural life of Sully and its surroundings.
