ÎLE DE LA FOLIE
A sensitive natural area protected by the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels Centre-Val de Loire, this island is home to an alluvial forest remarkable for its biodiversity. Two footpaths crisscross the site, one of 800 m, the other of 2 km, to discover the local flora and fauna. In spring and summer, access to the shoreline is forbidden to the public in order not to disturb the brood of aquatic birds (barking sandpiper, little terns and common terns, small gravelot...) and not to disturb the beavers in their search for food. To be done with the family.
