FORTIFIED CHURCH OF ST. RÉMI
Built between the xve and the seventeenth century, it is one of the most remarkable fortified churches of the Ardennese Thiérache. It presents a beautiful portal of flamboyant Gothic style, overcome by a bretèche and flanked by a reinforcement tower. The massive square tower, equipped with gunboats, served as a refuge for the villagers. It was accessed by a screw staircase in a turret. A well, now murked, and a fireplace allowed for relatively long periods of time. Inside, admire the remarkable master altar of Corinthian marble.
