PIERRE TASSIN CULTURAL CENTRE (CONVENT OF THE RÉCOLLECTINES)
Founded in the th century by a pictorial letter from King Louis XIV, the convent has now become an important cultural centre. The first monastery of des was established in 1614, but its situation outside the fortifications made it too vulnerable. So we built a second intra monastery in 1682, which can still be seen today. Louis XIV gave the order to build the convent of the récollectines in 1681, that one vivota until the Revolution. Under Napoleon III, in 1866, it was transformed into schools and asylum: This building of the great century became the first primary and kindergarten school in Saint-Hilaire. The convent has now become a huge cultural centre.
