Jean-Michel Thiry is one of the few families who continue to grow and sell fruit in the magic square of the villages of Tourteron, Guincourt, Suzanne and Saint-Loup-Terrier. The local production is dominated by the cultivation of apples, but for some years now, the arboriculturists have diversified their production, giving pride of place to pears, mirabelle plums, queen plums, quetsches, cherries, strawberries and raspberries.
