THE ARGONNE FOREST MASSIF
Between Vouziers and Buzancy, from Le Chesne to the south-east point of the department stretches the Forêt forest, mysterious, enchanting and nevertheless friendly. Its forest masses were conducive to solitude. So hermits and other nuns came to settle there. Today you will discover, thanks to arrow hikes and with descriptive panels, as you walk through the ruins of the ruins, witness of this past and the refined buildings that invite to calm. The forest of Argonne will take you into charming corners of the town like the Boucle loop, the House of the Wolves, the Wood of One Year, or the pre-Roman enclosure of Chestres. You will also discover monuments recalling that she played a strategic role in many conflicts and especially in the First World War.
