IRONWORK
A tribute to the Maginot Line and the heroes of the Resistance at La Ferté-sur-Chiers. Guided tour 25 meters underground.
The installation of La-Ferté-sur-Chiers was incorporated, shortly before the beginning of the Second World War, into the fortifications of the Maginot Line. This high place of the conflict houses the Maginot Line Museum, which pays tribute to the soldiers who resisted the German advance in May 1940, as well as a war memorial commemorating the sacrifice of these men who died for France, buried in the national necropolis of Villy. Guided tours, 35 meters underground, are given by volunteers who will tell you the history of this Maginot Line.
