The spahis were North African cavalry units under the authority of the army which played an important role in French military history. The museum dedicated to them is organized around 6 themes: cavalry, men, culture, social, history and especially the bloody battle of La Horgne on 14 May 1940. The visitor discovers battle outfits, objects, weapons... The footpath at the exit of the village brings the battle to life. The town also houses the national memorial dedicated to all the spahis who have died in operations since 1830.
