FORMER HORSE RELAY POST OFFICE
A former post and courier relay, with rooms, table d'hôtes and a typical sheepfold, hosts various activities.
Listed as a Historic Monument, this architectural ensemble has remained intact since the 17th century. Built in 1654, at the crossroads of the great commercial routes (Amsterdam-Marseille, Paris-Sedan), this post and courier station was an obligatory stopover for the "rouliers". As you enter the inner courtyard, you will notice the postmaster's house on the left. There were tables d'hôtes on the ground floor and rooms on the first floor. This composition also includes a vast coach house, a masterpiece of the Ardennes Compagnons, a suite of stables of 80 m and a typical sheepfold. Today, the relay hosts many events throughout the year such as the Ardennes draught horse breeding competition, the Antique Car Show or the festival dedicated to the steampunk and fantasy worlds: the "Fantastique Relais de l'Imaginaire". Once a month, there is also a local farmers' market and an antiques and second-hand market.
