This fortress was the subject of a long work of restoration and clearing
Built between the 11th and 12th centuries by the Montcornet family, this "feudal coliseum", as Michelet called it, owes its name to Mount Cornu, the barred spur on which it stands and which dominates the small valley of Sormonne. The fortress has been the subject of a long restoration and clearing work, you can discover the fruits of it, in particular through the visit of its underground passages which now house an exhibition room. In the summer, the castle goes into fantasy mode, with the "Mystical Hours" which focus on tales and legends.
