OUR LADY OF GOOD SHEPHERD SHRINE
The sanctuary was consecrated in 1936 by Cardinal Suhard
In April 1752, eight children from Neuvizy discovered in an oak tree a small statue of the Virgin surrounded by rays of light. They decided to recite prayers and then informed the parish priest. The cult is recognized at the end of the year by the archbishop after a series of miracles and healings. The statue was carried in procession to the church of Neuvizy which became a place of pilgrimage. The new church was completed in 1876 and the sanctuary was consecrated in 1936 by Cardinal Suhard.
