OUR LADY OF GOOD SHEPHERD SHRINE
The sanctuary was consecrated in 1936 by Cardinal Suhard
In April 1752, eight children from Neuvizy discovered a small statue of the Virgin Mary in an oak tree, surrounded by rays of light. They recited prayers, then informed the parish priest. By the end of the year, after a series of miracles and healings, the cult was recognized by the archbishop. The statue was carried in procession to the church in Neuvizy, which became a place of pilgrimage. The new church was completed in 1876, and the shrine was consecrated in 1936 by Cardinal Suhard.
