La Marfée National Cemetery in Noyers-Pont-Maugis honors the soldiers who fell in the 1914 Battle of the Bulge and the 1918 offensive. It contains 1,723 bodies. The battle, characterized by fierce fighting in the Ardennes, resulted in significant losses despite some successes for the French army. The necropolis is adjacent to a German cemetery dating from 1922, housing 14,055 graves of German soldiers from 1914-1918 and 12,788 from 1939-1945.
