Tomb of a hero and aviation pioneer with a monument commissioned by his mother and an audio terminal recounting his life.
Hero and pioneer of aviation, Roland Garros died on the eve of his 30th birthday in aerial combat over Saint-Morel, located 7 km from Vouziers. A winged stele marks the site of the crash. In the military square of Vouziers cemetery where he is buried, a monument has been erected on his grave, made in 1924 by Victor Pierrard on the request of the pilot's mother. On site, an audio terminal recounts the life of the famous aviator. The tourist office offers an explorer's kit which invites you to go in search of 4 pieces of Roland Garros' plane.
