Funerary site featuring French soldiers, Czechoslovakian, Russian, Belgian and Commonwealth graves.
This burial site was officially created in 1919. The French national necropolis has a multinational character, as it includes not only French soldiers (2,484, including 1,147 in individual graves), but also Czechoslovakians, Russians, Belgians and Commonwealth soldiers. The German cemetery is home to 1,843 soldiers, including 874 in individual graves. Headstones that tell silent stories and perpetuate the duty of remembrance.
