GALLO-ROMAN CAMEL SITE
This site, with its didactic panels explaining life in Roman times, is the subject of archaeological excavations.
The Roman road linking Reims to Trier used to pass through here, and the Romans had set up a relay station on the edge of it to welcome soldiers and travelers. This place was the object of archaeological excavations and didactic panels explain the life in the Roman time. The excavations have brought to light the foundations of a house, coins, fragments of tools and several objects from that period. Nearby, the picturesque French village of Wiliers is worth a visit.
