PASSION CHAPEL
Chapel of the Passion in Bar-sur-Seine, enclosed between houses, enjoying an original appearance and interior treasures
Take a look at the Corinthian pilasters, with capitals comparable to those of the Château de Chambord. This chapel was built in the 16th century. Destroyed several times, it came back to life in 1665, and on its pediment stands the formula virtutis esto, non fortuna comes, in other words, "count on your virtue, not on your luck". It is surrounded by houses and is original both in its appearance and in the treasures of its interior. There is another chapel of the Passion, built by the Cordeliers, in Troyes.
