ST. PIERRE-ET-SAINT-PAUL CHURCH

One more reason to stop in this commune. We don't know when this church was built. A few pillars of the twelfth century remain, while the others of the nef are in the xivth century, the choir and the abbey are in the sixteenth century, and almost all the stained-glass windows date from the sixteenth century. Remarkable glamorous verses depicting the history of saints Crepine and Crepinian, Saint Agathe or Noah. The stone retable representing Abraham's sacrifice and the statue of Saint John Baptist are also the sixteenth century. A look still at the cast of cast iron, and at the grid Louis XV in wrought iron, around the chorus, works by Jean-Baptiste Coquelet - 1746. This is where Napoleon made his first communion.
