The castle of Brienne was erected in the eighteenth century, in the place of an ancient fortress of the Middle Ages which was shaved, according to the architectural arrangements created by Jean-Louis Fontaine, of the family of the emperor's architect, and was conceived as a monument of appearance on the instruction of the Loménie of Brienne.
