NAPOLEON STATUE
Go there and contact
This statue, proudly in front of the front façade of the city hall, will always make you speak or smile. Napoleon is represented there at age 15, pupil of the Brienne military school, with his hand of course slipped in his jacket: self-masonry, ulcer in the stomach or other interpretation, who knows? The book seems to lag out, relief of an old era, but it remains proud, valiant, to the point that it is tempted to take it before. The statue and town hall were built under Napoleon III between 1855 and 1859. The building is the work of the architect Garrel and the statue of Napoleon was realized by the sculptor Louis Rochet. The ensemble was inaugurated on May 29, 1859.
