THE CHURCH OF THE THREE SANCTUARIES
Managed by the Association Jean-Scapula for the conservation of the Butte Butte, the church at the Three Isle-Aumont Sanctuaries is an indispensable place to visit the Abords. One can particularly admire the three sanctuaries: the remains of the carolingian choir frequented by Saint Robert de Molesme and dedicated to Saint Peter with his 1320 th century altar table and the sanctuary where Saint Louis took office in, dated the end of the th century. Impressive, the aisle of sarcophagi brings together all models used from Clovis to Charlemagne while a group of mérovingiennes funeral stelas evokes our oldest Christian monuments. A th century wooden sculpture, Romano-Byzantine influence, the «Beau Christ» complements the magnificent collection of wood or stone statues of the troyan school and the altarpiece of the Rome school of stone stone dating from the th century.
