Imposing castle which was the residence of Chancellor Rolin, with classical French gardens designed by Le Nôtre

This building whose foundations date back to 1088 is imposing. If it is not visited in itself, one does not tire of admiring the feudal sobriety of the 14th century part and the elegance of the 18th century wing. Slate and tile also adjoin. The residence of Chancellor Rolin, founder of the Hospices de Beaune and Lord of Les Riceys, the classical French gardens designed by Le Nôtre, combine boxwood and plane trees.

Château des Riceys Bas dans l'aube en Champagne au cœur du village avec ses jardins à la française, l'un des châteaux les plus anciens de la régions. Un jardin et un parc de plus de 25 ha. Se visite tout au long de l'année.

J'adore ce village magnifique et ses alentours, nous y avons fait une randonnée de 27 kms en passant par le chemin des Cadoles ( magnifique).
