The halle was demolished by the Prussians during the Battle of France, on February 2, 1814, to recover the wood needed to rebuild the Lesmont bridge held by Marshal Ney, burned after the passage of the last French. To rebuild, the enemy must destroy the neighboring houses and use their wood as well. These are the halles that hosted fairs five times a year. If day is noticed with pleasure, nocturnal illuminations bring to the whole of a feudal dimension.
