Built in the th century by the monks of the abbey of Saint-Denis, the Romanesque church was half ruined after the wars of religion. In the th century, the reconstruction of the vaults and the building of the steeple presented the present aspect. Originally, the church was fully decorated with paintings which were unfortunately badigeonnées in the th century, according to the religious deposit of the time. You can still admire these primitive murals, updated in 1973, representing an amazing animaux of fantastic animals. You can also admire the legend of Saint Nicholas, patron of the Submarine of Marnay-sur-Seine, painted in the th century.
